Submit!!!

The following Texas magazines and presses invite your manuscript submissions. As always, be sure to read the guidelines prior to submitting material and remember to include a stamped, self-addressed envelope for responses from the editors.  Most editors recommend that you read the magazine prior to submitting.

- - - 32 Poems

- - - Donna Walker-Nixon writes: You may not know that I have left Mary Hardin-Baylor and moved to the Stephenville area, where I grew up.  Marilyn Robitaille and I are finishing up the premiere issue of a new journal (Langdon Review of the Arts in Texas).  In this magazine, we want to spotlight literature and the other arts in Texas.  We have some dynamite articles, and we will have our first issue out in September.  As a matter of fact, we are hosting the Langdon Weekend at the Dora Lee Langdon House in Granbury on September 8-11.  We are asking for submissions and suggestions for paper presentations on September 9.  Topping off the event will be a jazz brunch with Barry Corbin from Northern Exposure as our main speaker.  If you have suggestions for the program, please feel free to contact me at walkernixon@aol.com.

- - - Pecan Grove Press runs an annual poetry chapbook competition. Entries come from all over the country. Check out the guidelines at www.pecangrovepress.com/contest. The press frequently selects co-winners: one from Texas and one from anywhere else.
