The Texas Association of Creative Writing Teachers (TACWT) is an association of writing teachers from college and university creative writing programs to individual workshop teachers and high school writing teachers to individual writers who may not teach at all.

TACWT meets annually for a conference in a Texas city.  The conference includes panels on creative writing pedagogy and readings by individual members.  This year's conference will be held in Fort Worth but conferences have been held in small towns and cities all over the state.

Join TACWT for various reasons:  competitions for student writers, the opportunity to read for your peers, learning more about Texas and writing, and collegiality with other people who share interests similar to yours.
